It is my lucky day. 
I just received my first Le Creuset!!  This two-quart beauty is a thoughtful gift from M's mom, and I am looking forward to many, many years of quality cooking.

For years, I imagined myself saving away for a Le Creuset, so to receive one by generous gift was a happy surprise.

The cherry red changes in the light, from a fiery crimson to a warm orange, or a smoky scarlet.  The smaller vessel size is perfect for an apartment-dwelling midtwenties gal - who now knows what to use on Valentine's Day.

I can't wait to break it in.  Any suggestions for a memorable first dish?
